I have a propensity for taking novel ideas to solve problems from concept to realization. As an intrapreneur within the banking industry (most recently with Bank of America). I have fundamentally changed every group I’ve led or been involved with, receiving hundreds of millions of dollars in support of my novel ideas, which resulted in significant benefit to the firm.
For instance, the firm required the ability to divest highly integrated companies quickly so that it could sell assets in order to raise funds to recover from the financial crisis. I conceived of a “ring fence” which could isolate any dimension of the bank’s business including users, systems, and data within 30 days so that it could be sold. It was a $30M development effort, and we spent more than a billion dollars deploying it, over a span of 10 years, to sell 50 companies, comprised of nearly 100k staff, to raise over $50B.
In terms of leadership – earlier in my career, I have driven and overseen some of the most technically and logistically complex technical migrations ever undertaken including integrating Bank of America’s and NMBA’s network in a single day, with 10% of financial transactions worldwide at stake. It was flawless.
Plus, I’ve held P&L reasonability, managed thousands of staff, and hold an MBA from a top-10 school.
Middle market investment banks are costing their clients billions of dollars through poor or inconsistent execution practices - I can fix that – and maybe eliminate the need for middle market bankers altogether.
