I worked as CTO at various startups for 10+ years. I am well versed in coding all aspects - frontend, backend, server side, devops, ML, Android/iOS etc.
After the last startup got acquired, I decided to pursue some of my own ideas. Over last year or so, I worked in 3 main ideas. I am now looking to grow the user base.
Current status is that all three are fully functional (that is, not an MVP). There is a lot that can be done in UX, and minor features, but all major features are built (the UX/UI will be actively iterated on, as userbase grows and we get user feedback)
Working on few ideas, since last year:
1. SleepBetter:
Currently, most of the sleep improvement apps in the market focus on stages of sleep. Average user doesn't care about stages of sleep, but just want to get a good night sleep.
The vision is that the events during day, as well as ongoing events affect our sleep. So if there is an easy way to record these life events (how much did I eat, drink, exercise? Stress at work/home, medical issues, are some examples of events). By finding patterns of these events, we can show the user what helped, or harmed their sleep.
2. GameSwap:
This is targeted at the game console community. The idea is Offerup or Craigslist focused on the niche segment of console gamers community.
You finished playing a game, now you can sell, swap, borrow or lend the cartridge or DVD by geolocation. You can list the games you want to offer, and you can make your wishlist, so others know what you are looking for.
My research shows that there is a lot of latent demand for a solution, and people do periodic meetups for selling, buying, exchanging games. We want to bring those meetups online, and easy to manage.
3. CMS for Service Industry (Customer Management System)
This idea came when I was heading engineering for a startup that had CMS for a niche segment. However, CMS tend to be desktop based.
There is a long tail of service providers (roofers, plumbers, electricians, landscapers, and so on) who don't have a back office or a desktop. They run their business using notebook, but they all carry a smartphone.
The vision is to have a full functional business management software that is mobile first - appointments, invoices, employees, work locations, messaging etc. everything from their smartphone.
