I believe I would make a great co-founder because I bring a unique blend of vision, lived experience, and strategic leadership. As a Somali American woman deeply rooted in my community, I understand the cultural nuances, emotional needs, and untapped potential of immigrant and refugee populations in South King County. I’ve spent years working in public service and financial management, leading multimillion-dollar budgets with integrity and equity at the core. I know how to build systems, manage teams, and create sustainable growth — but more importantly, I know how to listen, uplift, and lead with heart.
Noor Cafe is more than a business to me — it’s a mission. I’m passionate about creating safe, healing-centered spaces where people feel seen and celebrated. I’m looking for a partner who shares these values and wants to build something meaningful, not just profitable. Someone who dreams of working for herself, owning a business rooted in culture and compassion, and creating a new source of income that aligns with her faith and purpose.
Together, I believe we can build a café that becomes a beacon of light — a place where stories are shared, identities are honored, and every cup carries belonging.
I’m building Noor Cafe, a culturally inclusive coffee shop in South King County that celebrates East African heritage, Muslim values, and community healing. Noor means Light — and that’s exactly what this café will be: a safe, welcoming space where immigrants, refugees, and allies feel seen and connected.
I’m looking for a Muslim woman who shares this vision — someone passionate about culture, community, and entrepreneurship. If you’ve ever dreamed of owning your own business, working for yourself, and creating a meaningful source of income, this is your chance to co-create something powerful.
Let’s build a space that reflects our values, uplifts our people, and brews more than coffee — let’s brew belonging.
