Where do you promote a mobile app ?
We have a mobile app on Google Play, but it seems we can't reach any users. How do we increase the user base? We are also looking for people who have experience in this field and are interested in our app.

The problem is, the internet is saturated with all kinds of apps you might think of. However, there is still a chance of gaining some traction if it provides the right service at the right time and is offered to the right people which is hard to be honest :). I suggest you start with any small group of people you can guarantee a connection to, such as a school where your cousin is popular or a relevant Facebook group etc.
App Store Optimization (ASO):
Keyword Research: Identify relevant keywords that users searching for similar apps might use. Optimize your app title, description, and short description with these keywords. Tools like Google Play Developer Console's Keyword Analytics can help. Compelling Screenshots & Description: Showcase your app's key features and user interface with high-quality screenshots and a clear, concise description highlighting its benefits. Increase Visibility:
App Store Ratings & Reviews: Encourage existing users to leave positive reviews and ratings. Respond to both positive and negative reviews, addressing concerns and thanking feedback. Get Featured: There's competition, but strive to get featured by Google Play editors. This can significantly boost visibility. Attract Experienced Users:
Targeted In-App Advertising: Consider a small budget for targeted in-app advertising on other relevant apps. This allows you to reach users who are already interested in similar functionalities. Beta Testing Program: Launch a closed beta testing program and invite experienced users to provide feedback and suggestions. This helps refine your app and attracts potential advocates.

Great question. I’m listening to the feedback too. I’m considering AppSumo and affiliate marketing site as a method to gain traction.
