I am a long-time user of CoFoundersLab (from back when it was FounderDating) and honestly.. it has been on a downward spiral for years, changing management 2-3 times over the last 7 years and is now riddled with scams and UX/UI disasters.
Though we are on the infancy of this website, I see StartHawk becoming the top entrepreneur networking site in the world.
What major features would best benefit you as a business owner?

More flexibility when it comes to selecting skill categories. Personally, I'm looking for a Head of Operations for my business idea but none of the categories sufficiently matches that skill.
Having some indication that idea is still active and date of idea posting. I am a new on this website and it is difficult to say what is relevant.
Hi there --
My 2 cents: The profiles are way thin. It's almost impossible to garner someone's skill set or potential match by looking at the profiles. I would force people to submit their LinkedIn URL so we can at least get a somewhat better deep dive of who they are. I really can't tell anything from what's here and the filtering is almost non-existent. Especially for tech stacks.
Hi,
It's looking pretty good... And this question is a good idea. I signed up partly so I could add my two bits to this thread.
1.) You need a top-level nav "about us" ... I had to dig around a bit to find out that you, Brett, are behind this. Good to know. Do say more.
Keep the spam out. Curate, curate, curate.
Ditto the responses above, except part of Jasen's -no LinkedIn please, though the point is very good. It's a tricky balance. More categories for "who I am" and "who I'm looking for" are always good.
There are Tons of businesses in this world. I would like to See more businesses category, more skill category for about me, more categories for what I am looking for.
I would like to see a StartHawk app
Hello Brett! Thank you for asking. I have been on this platform for a couple of hours, and I have enjoyed my experience so far. These are some things that I would like to see:
As I am browsing for business partners and opportunities, I think it would be nice to add a matchmaking feature or an algorithm to help us find who we want. Success stories would increase if there were a way to better relate to what we want.
I love how we make selections and pitch ourselves and wish there were more selections to skillsets and industries. Eventually, I would love to have access to an app, so I have quicker access to respond to inquiries or responses to my own.
I would love to feel like I am experiencing something personal or seamless to my needs as an entrepreneur.
I hope this was helpful! Thank you for the opportunity to post my thoughts!
If you want to make good platform plz don't fee and charges for msg 🙂 and all user use all functionality of your platform
Some things to consider for improvements / features... (possibly misunderstandings by me)
why can't I message / add people from their profiles - I have to go back to the search page in order to add or message it seems.
Where does electronics hardware fit in your model - manufacturing?
Why can't I filter out people who ONLY want to join a startup... I guess I am being selfish but I have a project ongoing and don't want to fight with 'ideas'
Can you make it more clear what people WANT - I want to meet a co-founder to do ABC - I want to raise money - I want help / advice - I want services
can you tell us better what is being shown to other users - I still cant really tell what my profile looks liek to others - am I missing a feature /view?
The set of skills is very very lean kindly add other skills commensurate with projects not Only IT skills...iam a project planner and monitoring and evaluation practitioner I can be a strategic planner, offer skills on market strategy that's the most I can contribute to a business
I think there could be simple answers to the TYPE of startup someone is wanting to create.
For example, will cofounder be seeking... A) Investment Capital B) Bootstrapping C) Open to to both.
Also like to know if a person is seeking co-founder or employee with some stock options.
In short, have more Q&A to really narrow down the broad strokes for this member's interests and role in startups.
Most ideas here are old, and pretty much abandoned in relation to responding (in my view).
There's also no indication your message has been read so you can work on the assumption that no response from being read is an indicator that your not suitable.
